Technology Training can be provided by IT Learning and Development (ITLD) Whether you are Penn State faculty, staff, or students, we have the technology training solutions to best suit your needs. For software-specific training, consult the appropriate section of the Software page.

IT Service Desk

The IT service desk provides general technology troubleshooting and help with such services as Penn State Access Accounts, Canvas, and more to Penn State students from all campuses. You can reach the IT Service Desk for 24/7 technology support through live chat or by emailing ITservicedesk@psu.edu or calling 814-865-HELP (4357). Virtual face-to-face assistance is also available via Zoom Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Tech Tutors and Tech TAs

Tech Tutors offer technology-tool assistance to help all Penn State students, faculty, and staff accomplish their teaching and learning goals. Tutors are available for online consultations via Zoom.

Tech TAs provide technology support during synchronous classes and events in Zoom by helping instructors navigate and manage participants. TAs can assist with tasks like moderating chat, administering Zoom polls, and enabling security settings, but cannot proctor exams or attend in-person classes or events.
