Classroom community has the ability to foster belonging among students, as well as have positive learning gains. This session covers how to form a community of engaged learners within your classroom. Topics include planning for community, building community into assignments and class activities, humanizing both instructors and students in both in-person and online environments, building humor into your courses, and specific technologies that can be used to facilitate community in your class.
