Developing Asynchronous Assignments and Resources

This session will set the stage by contextualizing asynchronous learning and associated general principles presented by World Campus Faculty Development Online Learning courses. Examples will be provided from a writing-intensive class about the human dimensions of climate change. Presenters will discuss the experienced benefits of students and instructors of switching from traditional essay exams to a community-focused project. The session will conclude with a discussion of modifications for broad application across disciplines.
