Immersive Experiences (XR) include virtual reality, augmented reality, and 360 imagery/video and have tremendous potential to provide new perspectives to enhance student understanding. The new affordances of this emerging learning paradigm are limitless, including traveling the world, exploring places previously unavailable including within the human body, time traveling to key historical events, evoking empathy via experiencing a situation from a particular perspective, and much, much more!

During this interactive session, discover the academic potential that immersive experiences have to offer via implemented use cases from a variety of Penn State undergraduate course examples. You will be given an opportunity to experience 360 video and augmented reality in an educational setting, learn how to find and evaluate immersive experiences to choose and integrate within your curriculum, and leave with next steps for a tangible plan to easily implement existing immersive experiences as part of course work.
