This session will explore pandemic-era innovations of pedagogy related to technology with a focus on student engagement. Key elements will include how to support students facing current challenges by providing flexibility, external motivation, and reminders of care and concern. Explanations and examples will include various technologies to foster connections with students within and outside the classroom, creation of video-based micro-lectures of adaptability, utilization of Canvas to modify due dates for select students, and utilization of polling software as well as online whiteboarding tools to assist with student motivation and check-ins of how they are feeling.
